Glen Gonzalez

Founder and CEO

 

Glen Gonzalez is the owner and CEO of the Tierra Companies. Prior to founding Tierra, Gonzalez was CEO of AGE Refining and AGE Transportation from 2002 until July 2010. At AGE, Gonzalez oversaw operations, personnel management and overall profitability of the business. Gonzalez managed AGE through its most profitable and growth-oriented period as well as through challenging times including its Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in February 2010. In 2002, AGE’s refinery processed a ratable 8,500 barrels per day; in 2010 the refinery processed a ratable 14,500 bpd, while subsequently growing annual EBITDA from $2 million to $30 million over the same time period.

 

In 2006, Gonzalez purchased the Tierra Pipeline assets, and in 2010, he formally separated from AGE Refining to spearhead Tierra’s midstream and marketing opportunities within the Eagle Ford Shale. Gonzalez is a graduate of the University of Southern California where he received a Bachelor's degree in Political Science.

 

Jeff Dorrow

General Manager

 

Jeff Dorrow has over 15 years of experience in technical sales and marketing, including both direct sales and product / program management. In 2006, Jeff joined AGE Refining, heading its refined product marketing as well as its crude and condensate procurement program for refinery supply. During that time, Jeff was successful in lowering the cost of a laid-in barrel while increasing the business’ profitability.

 

As the General Manager at The Tierra Companies, Jeff’s role includes responsibility for the safe and profitable management of Tierra Transportation, leading Tierra Marketing’s commercial initiatives, and heading an interface with operational and commercial partners for Tierra Pipeline. Jeff graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

 

Diane Garrett

Chief Financial Officer

 

Diane Garrett joined The Tierra Companies as Chief Financial Officer in July 2010, bringing over 25 years of experience in financial services including both public accounting and private industry. Diane manages Tierra’s financial, accounting and human resource teams. Diane is responsible for the companies’ cash management, administrative initiatives, risk management and regulatory needs.

 

As a member of the executive leadership team, she participates in strategy development, makes executional recommendations for operational efficiencies, and develops tools and systems to measure performance against budget. Diane is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting.

 

 

Harvey Right

Transportation Manager

 

Harvey Right was promoted to the role of Transportation Manager for Tierra Transportation in September 2010. Harvey manages all of Tierra’s drivers and is responsible for maintenance of Tierra’s truck and trailer equipment, working closely with dispatch personnel and relying on his 32 years of driving experience to lead, motivate and mentor Tierra’s drivers. Harvey personally hires qualified and professional drivers and keeps up with the safety training new hires need to meet and exceed all safety requirements to do the job properly and safely. Previously, Harvey drove for AGE Transportation for 15 years, including serving as a lead driver and driver trainer for 12 years.
